Our volunteers are important and valued members of our hospital team. Their passion and presence can be felt in every area of our hospital. From greeting patients as they enter our doors, to helping them as they leave for home and hundreds of places in between. When you choose to volunteer with Humber River, you join an organization that is one of Canadas largest regional acute care hospitals. With 3 sites, we provide a full range of health care services to some 800,000 people in the northwest GTA area. There are so many different areas for volunteers to add that special personal touch. Most volunteer positions are available Monday-Friday between 8am-5pm with some evening and weekend opportunities. Volunteers make a personal commitment of one shift of 4 hours per week for a minimum of 6 months.
